THE WHAT? British beauty and personal care retailer Superdrug has signed up more than 200 brands for the upcoming launch of its new marketplace platform, which includes high-end brands and start-ups.
THE DETAILS Due to launch in September, more brands will be recruited ahead of launch as the marketplace is integrated into the existing Superdrug.com website.
Brands that have signed up include Wonderskin, Truthbrush and ethical brand OPV Beauty.
THE WHY ? The market is said to be bringing affordable brands to the UK for the first time, with a focus on trends such as new local, women-founded, sustainable and inclusive brands.
