ITC back in top 10 Indian stocks by market cap, shares up 10% in a month

ITC’s stock price has been rising since the last week of February 2022. The stock has been steadily rising for the past four and a half months and has helped the Indian conglomerate re-enter the top 10 list Indians in terms of market capitalization. . According to information available on the BSE website, ITC Ltd ended Wednesday’s session in 10th place in the list of India’s most valuable companies by market capitalization with a market valuation of 3,63,006.90 crore.

During its re-entry into the list of top 10 Indian stocks by market capitalization, ITC Ltd ousted Bharti Airtel and Bajaj Finance from the big boy club list. Bajaj Finance stock is now placed in 11th place while Bharti Airtel is in 12th place in the list. ITC now follows HDFC Ltd, which ended Wednesday with a market capitalization of 3,93,267.40 crore. State Bank of India or SBI and Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) rank 8th and 7th respectively. The SBI closed Wednesday’s session with a market capitalization of 4 34,316.23 crores as LIC ended with a market valuation of 4 54,767.33 crores in the previous session.

ITC stock price history

Over the past four and a half months, ITC’s stock price has risen after hitting its 52-week low of 201.70 each on NSE in Feb 2022. Continuously rallying from this level, ITC stock price is today approaching its 52-week high of 296.95 levels each, registering an increase of around 48% over the last four and a half months.

Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) continues to top the list, followed by TCS and HDFC Bank. Reliance ended Wednesday with a market capitalization of 16,08,275.63 crores as TCS and HDFC Bank finished with a market capital of 11,11,821.05 crore and 7,54,215.43 crores respectively.
